AI can inform a decision. A person still needs clear authority and responsibility for the choice.

Try this

Name the decision owner, reviewer, and escalation path before proceeding.

Ask together

One-minute script

An AI tool can supply analysis, options, or a recommendation, but it cannot hold your organization’s responsibility. Before acting, make human authority visible: who decides, who reviews, and who can stop the process?

Try this

Name the decision owner, reviewer, and escalation path before proceeding.

Ask together

Who can pause or overturn this decision?

Facilitator notes

Ask for roles, not blame. If the group cannot name an owner, treat that uncertainty as a reason to pause.

Source notes

The OECD accountability principle connects responsible AI use with role-based accountability, traceability, and continuing risk management.
