Technology assessment

Current IT Stack Survey

A working inventory of the systems and vendors your organization actually depends on.

About this assessment

This is the intake instrument behind the Technology and Vendor Trust Review engagement.

The goal isn't a complete IT asset inventory. It's identifying which systems the organization would struggle to lose, replace, or leave — that's where real risk concentrates, not in the long tail of minor tools.

How to use this assessment

Run it with whoever actually holds operational knowledge of each system — often not the same person for every row, so it may take more than one conversation to fill in completely.

Context

Core Systems Inventory

List every system or vendor this team depends on to function — not just software licenses, but anything operationally load-bearing. Add rows as needed.

System 1

How much would break if this went down for a day.

Vendor Trust Dimensions

For each system marked High criticality above, rate confidence in each dimension: Confident / Some Gaps / Unknown. "Unknown" is the most useful answer on this form — it's naming the actual risk.

Mark a system High criticality to open its Vendor Trust Dimensions.

Red Flag Questions

What This Feeds

This inventory becomes the raw material for the Technology and Vendor Trust Review's plain-language trust profile: a recommended path per system — proceed, proceed with safeguards, defer, or select a different option.

Limitations

It is not itself a legal or security certification of any vendor.
