Remember it this wayThe system changes only when the people and work can change with it.

In plain language

It includes participation, communication, training, support, feedback, role clarity, incentives, transition planning, and attention to what must be preserved—not simply announcing a new tool.

Why it matters

AI changes decisions, responsibilities, skills, trust, and handoffs. Technical deployment without organizational transition can produce resistance, workarounds, hidden use, or loss of effective practices.

Example

A company pilots an assistant with employees, updates procedures, trains reviewers, measures friction, maintains an alternative path, and adjusts responsibilities before wider rollout.

Common misconception

Change management is not persuading people to accept a predetermined system. It should surface legitimate constraints and change the plan when evidence requires it.
