Renaissance Solutions Privacy Statement
Effective date: 9 October 2026
Applies to: Renaissance Solutions websites, online services, publishing tools, and our handling of personal information through our official podcast and social media channels that link to this Privacy Statement
We respect your privacy. We collect and process information for specific purposes: providing the services you request, protecting our visitors and systems, and understanding how to improve our services.
Information we collect
To create a verified login, we require only an email address and a name. We use that information to verify your login, protect your account, and send essential account or security messages.
Some services require additional information. When that happens, we explain what we need and why. We distinguish required information from optional information and use what you provide for the stated purpose.
Our systems may also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser and device details, and security logs, to operate our services, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse.
Information stored in your browser
Some Renaissance Solutions services, including certain games, interactive experiences, and tools, use browser storage to retain information on your device. For example, a game or interactive world may store your progress or journey state locally so you can continue where you left off.
Information stored only in your browser is not sent to Renaissance Solutions merely because the service stores it there. Renaissance Solutions does not receive that locally stored information unless you take an action that sends it to us or to an external service disclosed by the feature.
Browser storage remains on the device or in the browser environment where it is stored and may be affected by browser settings, clearing browser data, synchronization features, device access, or other software running on the device. Clearing browser or site data may erase locally stored progress or preferences.
How we use and share information
We do not sell your personal information or provide it to advertisers. We do not track your activity on other websites or apps or use your information to build advertising profiles.
Access to private account information and service content is limited to what is needed to deliver your requested service, provide support, investigate security issues, operate and protect our systems, or meet legal obligations.
We use service providers to help operate and provide our services, including Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe, Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic. These providers may process information needed to perform their services.
Some Renaissance Solutions services may use external providers, including AI or other technology providers, to process information needed to provide the service. When information you provide may be sent to an external provider for processing, we will disclose that as part of the service or its accompanying information.
We limit the information provided to service providers to what is appropriate for the services they perform and require them to handle information under applicable contractual and legal requirements.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when otherwise legally necessary to protect our rights, our users, or others.
Podcasts, social media, and Decode Publisher
We publish podcasts, videos, and social media content, including The Decode, through third-party platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. When you interact with our official accounts, we may receive information you make available to us through the platform, such as your profile name, comments, or messages. We use that information to respond, manage our channels, and address concerns. The platforms separately process information under their own privacy policies.
Decode Publisher is currently an internal tool for uploading approved content to accounts we control. It is not currently available for members of the public to connect their accounts.
When an authorized operator connects an account, Decode Publisher receives authorization tokens that allow it to act within the permissions granted. Its current permissions are:
- YouTube: uploading videos through YouTube API Services, using the
youtube.uploadpermission. - TikTok: access to basic account information, including the account identifier, display name, and avatar, through
user.info.basic; and uploading videos to the account’s inbox throughvideo.upload.
We use this access to identify the authorized account, upload approved videos and accompanying information, and check upload status. Decode Publisher does not use these permissions to collect viewers’ messages, follower lists, or viewing activity. We do not sell connected-account information or use it for advertising.
Authorization tokens are stored in the encrypted system keychain on the computer operating Decode Publisher. Tokens are used to authenticate requests to the relevant platform. Approved videos and accompanying information are transmitted to that platform to carry out the upload.
We retain tokens only while needed for an authorized connection. When the connection ends, we delete tokens and associated platform data in accordance with the platform’s applicable requirements. You may request deletion at privacy@renaissance-solutions.net. For YouTube API data we hold, we complete deletion requests as soon as possible and within seven calendar days.
You may also revoke access through Google’s account permissions settings or TikTok’s connected-app permissions settings. Disconnecting Decode Publisher or deleting data we hold does not delete videos or other information already held by the platform; manage those through the platform itself.
See the Google Privacy Policy and TikTok Privacy Policy for their practices.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our services and where we can improve them. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage information, which may include pages visited, interactions with the site, browser and device details, approximate location, and identifiers that distinguish visits. This information is sent to and processed by Google.
We do not send your email address, login credentials, or private form responses to Google Analytics.
Learn more about how Google uses information from websites that use its services.
Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies or similar browser storage for login, security, preferences, and other functions needed to operate our services.
As described above, some services also use browser storage specifically to keep information such as progress, preferences, or journey state on your device rather than storing that information in a Renaissance Solutions account or database.
Google Analytics may also use cookies or similar technologies for analytics as described in the Analytics section above.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for its stated purpose or to meet legal, security, operational, or recordkeeping requirements.
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information and limit access based on the work being performed.
You may request deletion of personal information by contacting privacy@renaissance-solutions.net. We will delete information as required by applicable law and consistent with legitimate retention requirements, such as security, fraud prevention, transaction records, legal obligations, and resolving disputes.
Information stored only in your browser is generally under your control rather than ours. You can typically remove it using your browser's controls for site data or storage.
Your privacy requests
You can contact privacy@renaissance-solutions.net to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. We may need to verify your request.
If we cannot delete particular information because we are legally or operationally required to retain it, we will explain that where required and appropriate.
Changes to this Privacy Statement
We may update this Privacy Statement as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes.
