Renaissance Solutions Terms of Service
Effective date: 9 October 2026
Service provider: Renaissance Solutions LLC, doing business as Renaissance Solutions
Business address: 4 N. Wille St., Mount Prospect, IL 60056
Contact: support@renaissance-solutions.net
1. These Terms and our Services
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the service provider identified above (“Renaissance Solutions,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They cover our websites, accounts, learning resources, assessments, games, tools, and related online features that present these Terms (the “Services”).
These Terms also cover our podcasts, videos, social media content, and related publishing tools that present or link to these Terms, including The Decode and Decode Publisher. Our editorial content is provided for information, learning, or entertainment and is not a substitute for professional advice. Your use of a third-party platform remains subject to that platform’s own terms and policies.
You accept these Terms when you select “I agree” or take another action that clearly states it signifies agreement and gives you a readily accessible link to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use features that require acceptance. You may save a copy for your records.
A separate signed client agreement controls the professional services and deliverables it covers. Additional terms or disclosures for a particular feature may apply when clearly presented. Where acceptance is legally or contractually required, we will request it. If additional terms conflict with these Terms, those additional terms control only for the feature or service they cover.
Different Services may involve different types of information, technology, external service providers, or risks. Where a Service may send information you provide to an external service provider for processing, we will disclose that as part of the Service or its accompanying documentation. Additional terms or privacy disclosures may apply to Services designed to handle confidential, sensitive, or client information.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher age requirement displayed for a particular Service. The Services are not offered to children under 13 under these Terms. If you are below the age of legal adulthood where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and authorize your use. We may require evidence of authorization where appropriate or legally required.
If you use the Services for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. References to “you” then include that organization where applicable.
Provide accurate account information, keep your access credentials secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to support@renaissance-solutions.net. You are responsible for your own actions and for access you authorize. You must not impersonate another person, access someone else’s account without permission, or create accounts to evade a restriction.
3. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
Use the Services lawfully and treat other users, our team, and anyone affected by your use with respect. These rules apply to material you submit through the Services, including information, prompts, uploads, links, and AI-generated material. They also apply to communications with our team about the Services.
You must not use the Services to create, upload, send, share, solicit, or facilitate:
- Hate speech or discriminatory abuse. Content that attacks, dehumanizes, promotes hostility toward, or advocates discrimination or violence against a person or group because of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or another protected characteristic. This includes targeted slurs and promotion of violent hate groups.
- Threats or incitement. Threats of violence, injury, or property damage; intimidation, extortion, or encouragement of violence; or instructions intended to facilitate such harm. Describing a threat as a joke does not automatically make it acceptable.
- Harassment or exploitation. Bullying, stalking, sexual harassment, coordinated abuse, repeated unwanted contact, blackmail, or targeting a person for humiliation or abuse.
- Obscenity and sexual content. Obscene material, pornography, sexually explicit material, sexual solicitation, or graphic sexual descriptions. This includes real, manipulated, or AI-generated intimate material shared without the depicted person’s consent. Child sexual abuse material, grooming, and sexual exploitation or sexualization of minors are strictly prohibited.
- Abusive language or graphic harm. Profanity directed at a person or group, gratuitously vulgar material, graphic depictions of serious injury or cruelty, or content that encourages suicide, self-harm, or dangerous abuse.
- Privacy violations. Doxxing, publication of private contact or location information without authorization, disclosure of credentials or confidential information, or recording or sharing private communications without the necessary permission or legal authority.
- Fraud or deception. Scams, phishing, identity theft, deceptive impersonation, fabricated endorsements, manipulated evidence intended to deceive, or materially false claims of affiliation with Renaissance Solutions or another person or organization.
- Spam or manipulation. Unsolicited bulk messages, unauthorized advertising, coordinated inauthentic activity, fraudulent engagement, or manipulation of ratings, votes, scores, or reporting systems.
- Security abuse. Malware, unauthorized access, credential harvesting, interference with the Services, denial-of-service activity, bypassing access controls or rate limits, or automated activity that disrupts the Services or extracts restricted data.
- Infringement or other unlawful activity. Content or conduct that violates intellectual property rights, applicable law, court orders, or another person’s legal rights.
These restrictions apply whether the conduct is direct or carried out through another account, a bot, a link, or another intermediary. They do not prevent activities that applicable law expressly permits despite contractual restrictions.
We consider context when applying these rules. Good-faith criticism, disagreement, accurate reporting of misconduct, and appropriate educational or documentary discussion are not prohibited merely because they are uncomfortable or unfavorable to us. Do not use those contexts as a pretext for abuse, and avoid reproducing harmful material when a description or link to an appropriate reporting channel will suffice. Child sexual exploitation and nonconsensual intimate imagery are not permitted as user submissions, including when presented as examples or evidence.
You may publish honest reviews and opinions about Renaissance Solutions. These Terms do not prohibit lawful negative reviews or impose a penalty for them.
4. Reporting concerns and enforcement
Report suspected violations through https://renaissance-solutions-network.net/toolkit/forms/ideas-feedback-concerns/. Include the relevant location or URL, a short explanation, and information that will help us assess the concern. Do not download, attach, or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material or nonconsensual intimate imagery to make a report.
We may investigate reports, restrict use of a feature, issue warnings, suspend or close accounts, or take other proportionate action when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, the Services or another person are at risk, or the law requires action. Serious violations may result in immediate action without a prior warning. We may preserve relevant records and make reports to appropriate authorities when legally required or otherwise lawfully justified.
Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, we will provide information about an account or service restriction. You may request review at https://renaissance-solutions-network.net/toolkit/forms/ideas-feedback-concerns/. Any additional rights or procedures provided by applicable law remain available.
We do not promise to detect every violation. This does not limit any reporting or other duty imposed by law. The Services are not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
5. Information and content you provide
“Your Content” means information or material you submit to the Services. You keep the ownership rights you already have in it. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and to grant the limited license below.
You give us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to provide the features you choose, maintain and secure the Services, enforce these Terms, and meet legal obligations. We may allow service providers acting for us to perform those activities under appropriate contractual restrictions.
Our Services do not currently provide features for users to publish their own content for public distribution. If we introduce such features, additional terms or policies may apply.
Some Services may use external service providers, including providers of AI, hosting, analytics, communications, or other technology. Where information you provide to a Service may be sent to an external provider for processing, we will disclose that as part of the Service or its accompanying documentation. Our Privacy Notice provides additional information about how personal information is handled.
The license granted to us under these Terms does not authorize us to use Your Content for unrelated advertising, sell Your Content as content, or use Your Content to train general-purpose AI models. Any materially different use would require an appropriate legal basis, disclosure, and, where required, your agreement.
The license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Services, except to the extent reasonably necessary for limited backup retention, legal obligations, security purposes, or resolving an existing dispute. Retention and deletion of personal information are governed by applicable law and our Privacy Notice.
Do not submit information you lack authority to share. Do not put passwords, private keys, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or confidential client material into a feature unless it expressly supports that use and any necessary agreement is in place.
6. Our materials and permitted use
We or our licensors own the Services and their underlying software, design, branding, and original materials, except for Your Content and material identified as belonging to others.
Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the Services for their stated purposes. You may download or reuse materials where the relevant feature or license permits it. Any stated open-source, Creative Commons, or other license continues to govern the material it covers.
You must not copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our protected materials beyond that permission or what applicable law allows. Do not remove ownership notices or imply our endorsement without authorization. Linking to our public pages and making lawful quotations are permitted.
7. Assessments, tools, and AI-assisted features
Unless a separate agreement expressly provides otherwise, our articles, assessments, games, examples, and automated tools are for information, learning, exploration, or entertainment. They are not a substitute for qualified legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice relevant to your circumstances.
If a feature uses AI or automation, its output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or similar to output supplied to others. Review it before relying on it or sharing it. You are responsible for decisions you make and for ensuring your use is appropriate and lawful. We do not promise a particular business, educational, financial, or other outcome.
A Service that uses AI or another external provider to process information you submit will disclose that use as described in Sections 1 and 5.
These limitations do not reduce obligations we expressly accept in a separate agreement or responsibilities that the law places on us.
8. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Notice at https://renaissance-solutions-network.net/privacy/ explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information and how to exercise applicable rights. These Terms do not replace that notice or supply consent for processing that requires a separate choice.
We may send account, security, transaction, and service messages needed to provide the Services. Marketing subscriptions and optional tracking choices are handled separately, with consent where required and appropriate unsubscribe or preference controls.
9. Paid features, subscriptions, and refunds
If we offer a paid feature, we will disclose its price, currency, applicable taxes or mandatory charges, payment timing, material limitations, and cancellation and refund terms before you purchase. You agree to pay charges you authorize. A separately signed client agreement governs fees for the professional services it covers.
Any recurring subscription requires a clear offer stating the renewal price or how it is determined, billing frequency, trial period if any, and cancellation method, together with your express informed agreement. We will provide a simple cancellation method and any legally required reminders. If you subscribe online, we will provide an online cancellation method. Cancelling stops future renewals; the disclosed purchase terms explain access for the remaining paid period and any applicable refund.
We will give advance notice of subscription price changes and obtain renewed consent where required. We will honor refunds and other remedies required by law. Nothing in these Terms makes every payment nonrefundable or waives a lawful payment dispute.
10. Third-party services
The Services may link to or work with services operated by others. Their terms and privacy notices govern your direct use of those services. A link does not itself mean we endorse the provider.
We may also use third-party service providers to operate parts of our Services. Our use of providers acting on our behalf does not eliminate responsibilities applicable to Renaissance Solutions under these Terms or applicable law. Where information you provide may be sent to an external provider for processing, we will provide the disclosure described in Sections 1 and 5.
Decode Publisher
Decode Publisher is currently an internal tool used by authorized Renaissance Solutions personnel to upload approved content to accounts we control or are expressly authorized to manage under a client agreement. It uses YouTube API Services and TikTok’s Content Posting API. TikTok uploads currently arrive as inbox drafts for an authorized account operator to review and publish in TikTok.
Anyone operating Decode Publisher must be authorized to use the connected account and have the rights and permissions needed to publish the content. By using Decode Publisher’s YouTube integration, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Use of either platform must comply with its applicable terms and community guidelines.
If we provide content creation or publishing automation to clients, the service scope, account permissions, content approval responsibilities, and any additional data handling will be described in the applicable client agreement and accompanying privacy disclosures. Availability remains subject to the relevant platform’s permissions and requirements.
11. Changes, suspension, and closure
We may update the Services for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or changes to our offerings. We will provide reasonable advance notice of changes that materially reduce a paid Service, unless urgent circumstances prevent it. If we permanently discontinue a prepaid Service before the paid period ends, we will refund the unused portion unless you choose an equivalent replacement or applicable law provides a greater remedy.
You may stop using the Services at any time and request account closure at https://renaissance-solutions-network.net/toolkit/forms/ideas-feedback-concerns/. Closing an account does not remove amounts properly owed or override legal retention requirements. We will explain how closure affects any active subscription and stop future renewals for subscriptions tied to that account.
We may suspend or end access for the reasons in Section 4. When reasonably possible and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to retrieve information that the relevant feature allows you to export. We may act immediately to address serious abuse, a security threat, or a legal requirement. Refunds and other mandatory remedies remain available where required by law.
12. Warranties and liability
Except for express commitments we make and rights or warranties that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, neither Renaissance Solutions nor its officers, employees, or service providers will be liable under these Terms for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits or business opportunities. Our total aggregate liability arising out of the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. A separately signed agreement controls liability for the services it covers.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If a limitation is not permitted where you live, it does not apply to you to that extent.
13. Complaints and disputes
Please contact support@renaissance-solutions.net with a description of a concern and the resolution you seek. We will try to resolve it in good faith. Contacting us first is encouraged, but is not a condition of exercising legal rights and does not shorten or suspend legal deadlines.
Subject to mandatory applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes may be brought in the courts of Illinois, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or requires a different court. Consumer protections that apply in your place of residence continue to apply where the law requires.
These Terms do not require private arbitration or waive participation in a lawful class or collective action.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for changes in the Services, legal requirements, or our operations. We will post the revised version and its effective date.
For material changes, we will give at least 30 days’ advance notice through the Services or an appropriate contact method, unless a shorter period is required by law or necessary to address an urgent security or abuse issue. In those cases, we will explain the change as soon as reasonably practicable.
We will obtain renewed agreement where required by law or where a material change requires fresh acceptance. Changes apply prospectively and will not retroactively alter an existing dispute. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the affected Services and close your account; any applicable refund rights remain available.
15. General terms and contact
These Terms and any applicable additional terms form our agreement about the Services they cover. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
You may not transfer your contractual rights or obligations without our written consent, except where the law allows it. We may transfer this agreement in a merger, reorganization, or sale of the relevant business, provided the successor assumes our obligations and your statutory rights are preserved. We will give any legally required notice.
Provisions that by their nature need to continue after account closure, such as accrued payment obligations, ownership rights, applicable liability limits, and dispute provisions, continue only to the extent relevant and lawful. Your Content license continues only as described in Section 5.
Questions, legal notices, and complaints may be sent to Renaissance Solutions, 4 N. Wille St., Mount Prospect, IL 60056, or support@renaissance-solutions.net.
If you believe material available through a Renaissance Solutions Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact legal@renaissance-solutions.net and identify the protected work, the material at issue, its location, your contact information, and the basis for your concern. We will review reports and respond as appropriate under applicable law.
